GREENVILLE – Yvonne Clay Brown Wood, age 74, of Greenville, KY passed away on April 21, 2017 at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky surrounded by loved ones. Yvonne was born May 10, 1942 in Muhlenberg County. She spent her life raising her family and traveling with her husband who was an over the road truck driver. Yvonne was one of the first women in Muhlenberg that ever drove an 18 wheeler. She also loved Elvis Presley, UK basketball, and making memories with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Larry Wood, infant daughter Rhonda Wood, son Tony Wood and granddaughter Leslie Wood. She is survived by two sons Roger Wood and Bryan (Monica) Wood; daughter Kim (Jeff) Snyder; brother Jackie (Brenda) Brown; four sisters Myrna (Cotton) Tatum, Linda (Ronald) Welborn, Debbie (Bob) Vick, Vanessa (Billy) Hayes; 9 grandchildren Nathan (Adrienne) Snyder, Nicole (Nick) Matheney, Jordan (Tia) Snyder, Dalton (Devin) Wood, Bailey Love, Trevor (Courtney) Wood, Paige Love, Brittney Wood, Jamien Gillette, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be Monday, April 24, 2017 at 1 PM at Tucker Funeral Home, in Central City with Rev. James Branscum officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery.
