William Lee Stanley GRAHAM — William Lee Stanley, 70, of Graham died at 7:46 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Muhlenberg County. He was a coal miner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Drucie Stanley; and a brother, R.B. Stanley. Survivors include his wife, Linda Duvall Stanley of Graham; three daughters, Judy (John) Jessup of Greenville, Amanda (Brandon) Hobgood of Bremen and Nicole (Eddie) Tayse of White Creek; grandchildren Bethaney Jessup, Asa Jessup, Katie Beth Morgan, Isaac Hobgood and Haley Tayse; a brother, George Allen (Carolyn) Stanley of Greenville; two sisters, Juanita Jessup of Graham and Dean Garris of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Jerry Eades officiating. Burial will be in Vernal Grove Cemetery in Greenville. Mr. Stanley was born November 21, 1942 in Muhlenberg County and was a Saw Mill worker. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Stanley and a son, William Stanley. Mr. Stanley was born December 25, 1946, in Newton County, Missouri. He was an iron worker at TVA, and a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. He is survived by his son, William James Stanley; daughter Beth Michelle Knight; three grandchildren; one brother; and one sister. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 9:30AM at the funeral home.
