William Perry ‘Bill’ Plain Sr. 10/8/2008 SACRAMENTO — William Perry Bill Plain Sr., 80, of Sacramento died at 11:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in McLean County. Mr. Plain was a retired supervisor with Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville and retired from Tucker Funeral Home after 22 years. He was a member of Sacramento Masonic Lodge and Station Baptist Church in Sacramento. He was active in Little League Baseball and Girls Softball and was a former member of McLean County Board of Education. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Dollie Gish Plain of Sacramento; two sons, Bill (Kim) Plain Jr. of Owensboro and Mark (Gwendal) Plain of Hanson; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Crawley of Henderson; four granddaughters, Ashley Plain, Whitney Plain, Hillary Plain and Alecia Crawley; a grandson, Joshua Plain; two stepgrandchildren, Wesley Vaughn and Cole Vaughn; and a brother, Jim Plain of Owensboro. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with the Rev. Leslie Moody officiating. Burial will be in Station Baptist Church Cemetery in Sacramento.
