William ‘Red’ Nannie CENTRAL CITY — William Red Nannie, 67, of Central City died at 4:03 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Christ of Calvary in Cleaton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Nannie; and a sister, Barbara Pethtel. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Allen Nannie of Central City; four sons, William (Tina) Nannie Jr., Nivil Nannie, Glen (Pamela) Nannie and David (Kim) Shadowen; two daughters, Elaine (Danny) Arnold and Tina (Curtis) Jenkins; grandchildren JR Nannie, Toby Nannie, Ashley Nannie, Amber Nannie, Pamela Nannie, Linda Nannie, Jonathon Nannie, Jamie Nannie, Nicholas Shadowen, Matthew Shadowen, Alexis Shadowen, Camellia Arnold, DJ Arnold, Jessica Fulkerson, Martina Arnold, Corey Nannie, Cody Nannie, Caleb Nannie, Christian Nannie, Dustin Jenkins, Kaitlyn Jenkins and Destiny Jenkins; five great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters Earl Nannie, Bobby Joe Nannie, Merle Nannie, Dean Gray, Betty Jones and Charlotte Nannie. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Mike DeArmond officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Cleaton. Visitation is after 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
