GREENVILLE- William L. “Bubo” Garris, 88, of Greenville, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Garris was born in Muhlenberg County on November 4, 1934. He was a farmer, coal miner, did custom work, and loved fishing, and he loved the Lord. Mr. Garris was a member of and a Deacon for many years at Bards Hill General Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Fairy Garris; wife, Earline Garris; sister, Edith Williams; son-in-law, Darrell Lear; great grandson, Walter Crowe Lear.

Survivors include his daughter, Maletha Lear of Greenville; son, Randy (Robbie) Garris of Greenville; grandchildren, Quentin (Elyssa) Lear of Greenville, Shawn (Sharon) Garris of Hopkinsville, Brandy Jones; step-grandchildren, Jill Wood, Eric Wood; great grandchildren, Jaxson Lear, Corbin Lear, Alisha Garris, R.J. Garris, William Jones, Aliyah Jones, Teanna Hollis; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Donald Williams of Greenville, Evelyn Williams of Graham; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31^st, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bards Hill General Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Vernal Grove Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be held Monday, October 30^th, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
