CENTRAL CITY – William “Bill” Dwight Gary, age 64, of Central City, KY passed peacefully on April 16, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was born on September 19, 1947 in Greenville, KY to Edith and Clifford Gary. The oldest child in his family, he was a man of great character, strength, and love. He shared his kindness without reservation. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Gary; his children, Michelle Kledzik (Bart, Patrick, Mallory, Lindsey, Gavin), Marsha Manfred (Mark, Nicole, Grant, Jerica), Michelle Simon (Hector, Andrea, Conrad, Hector III, Tommy), William “Rick” Gary (Anthony, Alexander, Shannon, Tim), Lisa Merkel (Rick, Christian, Stephanie), Tracy Anderson (Terese, Kevin, Tommy), and Catherine Palmer (Duane, Camryn, Drew) and his 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving brothers Michael Gary (Lorraine, Lori, Shaun, Jason) and Stephen Gary (Oki, Michael). William was also a devoted and loving foster father to Dylan and Chelsey Stockdale, Cam Caldwell, and many other loving children. William also had many loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family members and friends. A celebration of his life is scheduled at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, KY on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 5-8PM for visitation and Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00AM for funeral services, with Dr. Kevin Brown officiating.
