UTICA – William P. Cottrell Sr., died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born October 29, 1942 in Muhlenberg County, was a truck driver for Schrecker Moving & Storage, a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Edward Cottrell and a brother, J. T. Cottrell. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hawes Cottrell of Utica, sons, William P.(Stephanie)Cottrell Jr. of Utica, Jeffrey Lyn(Marchee)Cottrell of Utica and James(Tanya)Cottrell of Owensboro, daughters, Mary(David)Yonts of Hartford and Amy(John)McKenzie of Utica, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brothers, Franklin(Phyllis)Cottrell of Central City, George(Roxanne)Cottrell of Lewisport, half brother, Donnie Riley of Maceo, sister, Betty Cottrell of Evansville, half sister, Judy(Larry)Embry of Bowling Green, his mother, Dorothy Cottrell of Lewisport. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Rev. Craig Bratcher and Rev. Hank Ricketson with burial to follow in the Mt.
