CENTRAL CITY – William Clyde (Wee) Brown, Jr., 86, of Central City, passed peacefully and serenely surrounded by his beloved family into the loving arms of our Lord and those who preceded him on September 26, 2015. Born on June 15, 1929 in Butler County he was an iconic businessman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend who will always be remembered for his love and contributions to his community. He was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church. Wee was a leading figure as a Land Agent and in the Coal industry. He was a very successful businessman with high acumen for the “deal”, but his greatest success was the love of his family. He was CEO of Mach 1 Recording Studio, Brown Minerals, Hazel Creek Mining, Providence Coal Reserves, along with a vast array of other successful business ventures. He will forever be remembered for his generous helping hand to all who sought his advise, guidance and support. He is preceded by his son, Terry “Nosey” Brown, Sr.; Step-son, Ronnie Hardin; great–great grandchild, Bailey Brown; Sister, Ann Grise; niece, Cynthia Grise Camplin; parents, William Clyde “Buster” and Cora Alice Brown. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Brown; son Gary (Terri) Brown of Central City; son Roger (Sharon) Brown of Buck Creek; Virginia’s son, Monnie Hardin of Greenville; grandchildren, Kim Menser, David Brown, Terry Brown, Jr., Jenny Clark, Brent Hardin, Dustin Hardin, Monica Hardin, step-grandchildren, Kenya Stump and Chad Carroll along with ten great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two beloved nephews, Phillip and Michael Grise and one beloved niece, Claudette Grise. Celebration of Wee’s life will begin with visitation on Tuesday, September 29 from 5-8 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City and funeral on Wednesday, September 30th at Noon at the funeral home with Bro. Leroy Rearden and Bro. Adam Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery and after-glow at Temple Baptist Church following burial.
