GREENVILLE- Willa Dean Brooks, 89, of Greenville died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Ms. Brooks was born in Muhlenberg County on October 13, 1929. She worked for Muhlenberg Community Hospital in the dietary department. She was a member of the Cathedral of Hope. Ms. Brooks loved her lord, church, and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Brooks; sons, Larry G. Brooks, Donald W. Brooks, Benny L. Brooks; brothers, Brank Jones, Clifton Jones, Lendel C. Jones; sisters, Margaret McIntosh, Ozilee Pickering. Survivors include her son, Bobby G. (Wendy) Brooks of Greenville; brothers, C.W. Jones of Hopkinsville, Freddie Jones of Greenville, Shelby W. Jones of Illinois; sisters, Barbara Rickard of Clarksville, Hilda Skipworth of Clifty, Sue Costello of Russellville; grandchildren, Amber, Beau, Larry, Bradley, Jennifer, Amanda, Courtney; several great-granchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. David Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery. I worked with this dear lady at the hospital in the dietary department. She was one of the hardest working people I've ever worked with. She was always happy to be there, and she would always say how grateful she was that the Lord had given us all another day. She was a dear friend and she will be greatly missed. I'm so sorry for your loss.
