GREENVILLE — Whipple Zane Durall Sr., 79, of Greenville died at 2:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Maple Manor Health Care in Greenville. He was born on Dec. 17, 1930, in Muhlenberg County. He was a Navy veteran and worked for 21 years at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He was a member of Powderly United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Irene Durall; a daughter, Debbie Wells; a brother, Lyndel Durall; and two sisters, Pansy Gray and Bonnie Beard. Survivors include his wife, Clara Sorenson Durall of Greenville; three sons, Whipple Durall Jr. (Sharon), Bruce (Kathy) Durall and Bryan (Penny) Durall, all of Greenville; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Durall of Canillo, Ohio; and a sister, Fairy Brown of Clearmont, Fla. Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Brother David Fall officiating, assisted by the Rev. Chris Allen. Burial will be in Lone Star Cemetery in Greenville.
