LEXINGTON, SC – Wesley Boyce Taylor, 86, of Lexington, SC, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Lexington, SC. Mr. Taylor was born November 2, 1929, in Quitman, TX. He was a former long-time resident of Central City who has lived in South Carolina for the last 10 years. He graduated from Quitman High School in 1948. He attended Longview College and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a master mechanic, supervisor, and foreman for Peabody and surrounding coal mines. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, boating, and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elthie Peoples Taylor; and his wife, Joanne D. Taylor. He is survived by his sons, John Taylor of Sacramento, Brian Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Tom Taylor of Lexington, SC, Gary Taylor of Gilbert, SC, and Daniel Taylor of Leesville, SC; one daughter, Mary Therese Everett of Nashville, TN; 14 grandchildren, Phillip, Renee, Samantha, John Wesley, Tyler, Noah, Moriah, Michaela, Caitlyn, Molly, Will, and Andrew; and 6 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Luke, Brady, Sy, Karsyn, and Sarah. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
