GREENVILLE — Wanda Boggess Summers, 69, of Greenville died at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born on Jan. 14, 1941, in Muhlenberg County. She was a retired teacher and librarian of 30 years, worked for Greenville and Muhlenberg County school systems and was a member of Greenville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Summers; and her parents, Fonzo and Ivyle Boggess. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Barry) Atcher and Tammy (Clarence) Brewer, all of Central City; grandchildren Stetson Atcher, Landon Atcher, Morgan Atcher, Logan Brewer and Paige Brewer; brothers and sisters, Ray Boggess and Cora Chandler, both of Greenville, and Sue Wright of Cary, N.C.; and nieces and nephews, Sharon Winn, Bradley Wright, Nolan Wright, Evan Wright and Spencer Wright. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Mr. James Neeley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
