Wanda Faye Hopper 10/12/2008 CENTRAL CITY — Wanda Faye Hopper, 78, of Central City died at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville. She was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Muhlenberg County, was a retired inspector for Cowden Manufacturing Co., and a member of Woodson Baptist Church, Powderly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Tennessee Shemwell, granddaughter Amanda Hopper, brothers Billy and Ennis Shemwell, and sisters Captola Smith, Reva Nell Hearld and Millidean Hendrix. She is survived by her husband, Fred J. Hopper of Central City; sons, Tony (Tammy) Hopper of Utica and David (Joy) Hopper of Columbia, Tenn.; and granddaughters, Ashley, Haley and Callie Hopper. Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial is in Fairmount Cemetery, Central City.
