SACRAMENTO – Wanda Faye Woodburn Cabbage, of Old Salem Lane, Sacramento. Born November 29, 1936 in McLean County, she went to live with our God on August 4, 2011. She married her sweetheart Carl Glenn Cabbage, November 3, 1954. Mom was born to Mary Helen Woodburn Vanover and Franklin Woodburn, which are both waiting for her along with a great-grandson Samuel Darr at her residence in heaven. She and Carl had three children: Jerry G. Cabbage (Peggy Newson Cabbage), Sharon Cabbage Miller (Kevin Miller), and James R. Cabbage (Melonie Moore Cabbage). They have eight grandchildren: Tiffany Miller Jernigan (Keith Jernigan), Cindy Cabbage Darr (Todd Darr), Adam R. Miller (Kara Barnett Miller), Kari Beth Cabbage Atcher (Stetson Atcher), Kellie Cabbage, Holly Cabbage Robinson (Josh Robinson), Patrick Cabbage, and Blake Cabbage. Six great-grandchildren, Madox, Lilly, Milo, Zane, Channing, and Avery. Mom worshiped at Worthington Chapel Church in Island. She enjoyed music; making every effort to attend area homecomings. Mom provided a clean, loving home with lots of home grown food daily. Work hands looked forward to sitting at her table. Besides being a homemaker, she baby-sat for several nurses and teachers. As she enters the gates of heaven, she will be reaching for baby Samuel to hold tight and rock gently to sleep each night. Even though we mourn for her we also rejoice in knowing she is well now and happy at home with her Lord. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Burial in Worthington Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
