CENTRAL CITY — Virginia Lee Eady, 93, died late evening on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. She was born in Detroit on Aug. 28, 1917, and raised in Muhlenberg County. She was the last surviving daughter of the late Stephan Rowan Nalley and Lillie Nalley. She spent a good portion of her life in Chicago and Will County, Ill., where she was employed as a machine operator during the 1950s and 1960s at various factories. She was a loving mother, dear sister and beloved aunt. She was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. E. Conaway; a loving son, Bobby Wilson Conaway, in 1997; her beloved second husband, Floyd Arvin Eady, in 1990; five sisters, Ruby Tucker, Magdalene Stewart, Lorene Matzuka, Louise Gregory and Inia Reathel Nalley; and four brothers, Roy S. Nalley, John W. Nalley, Eugene Nalley and James C. Nalley. She is survived by 18 beloved nephews and nieces, including Harold Stewart of Bremen, Regina Jessick and husband Duane of Omaha, Neb., Betty June Shanks of Bremen and Carolyn Schmidt of Addison, Ill.; and a cousin, Ms. Mary Ruth Barry of Central City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Brother Leroy Rearden. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount Cemetery, c/o Tucker Funeral Home.
