SEMIWAY – Mrs. Viola Arnold, 89, of Semiway, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in McLean County on November 11, 1922, she was a member of Richland Baptist Church. Mrs. Arnold was know as “Granny” to all her family and friends. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She lived a long and productive life here on earth and was ready to be rewarded for a job well done. With her optimistic and positive outlook, she met life head on and lived it as only Granny could. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd E. Frashure (1974) and Nola Gilmore Frashure (1969); husband Stanley Arnold (1993); and daughter Winnona Arnold (2008). Survivors include her sons, David Sutherlin and wife Becky of Livermore, Stanley Arnold of Semiway, and Dean Arnold of Semiway; daughters Wilma Beck Lightbody of Masonville, Nola Arnold of Semiway, Nancy Adkins and husband Donnie of Hawesville, Donna Johnson of Bloomington, IN, Rita Arnold of Semiway, Laquita Willoughby and husband Phillip Sr. of Island, and Anita Scott and husband Terry of Moorman; grandchildren “Billy” Sutherlin, Charlie Sutherlin, Anna Sutherlin, Jennifer Beck, J.B. Arnold, Andrea Caudill, Amanda Milam, Brad Adkins, Tamara Cox, Brennan Willoughby, and Jay-Cee Willoughby; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Wanda Wells of Utica; brothers Vernon Frashure of Owensboro and Ray Frashure of Calhoun; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private with burial to follow in Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5-8PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento.
