GREENVILLE – Victor Joseph Rogier, 97, of Greenville, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Greenville. Mr. Rogier was born August 5, 1913 in Perry County, Indiana. He was a truck driver for Greenville Quarries and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City for 63 years. He was a Saint Joseph school board member and past president of the school board. Mr. Rogier was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a personal driver for Colonel Kellogg during his service. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Louise Rogier; parents Adolph Rogier and Julia Goffinet Rogier; brothers James Rogier, Louis Rogier, Alfred Rogier, Everett Rogier, and Raymond Rogier; and a sister, Clara Rogier. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rose Catherine Braunecker Rogier; two sons, Paul David (Kathy) Rogier of Morganfield and William Joseph (Greta) Rogier of North Augusta, SC; two daughters, Victoria Susan Rogier of Mesa, AZ and Ruth Ann (James) Norris of Central City; four grandchildren, Josie Miranda, Valerie Hertneck, Alexander Rogier, and Jaymes Robert Norris; and a great-grandchild, Megan Hertneck. Funeral services will be Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City, with Father Ben Luther officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in St. Croix, Indiana. Visitation will be Sunday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Graveside services will be Monday at 2:00PM at Holy Cross Cemetery in St. Croix, Indiana.
