CENTRAL CITY – Vernon Lee Smith, age 62 of Central City died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Vernon was born February 17, 1955 in Chicago, IL and was a Truck Driver. Mr. Smith is survived by his mother Edna Lee Smith; sister Wilda (Charles G.) Gettemy; nephews Charles L., Kenneth and Richard Gettemy; Great Nieces and Nephews Kyle, Josh, Lily, McKenzie, Sophie and Kayla Marie Gettemy. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 12:00 (Noon) at Tucker Funeral Homes in Central City. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Drakesboro.
