Velma Roe

Velma Elizabeth Roe 11/13/2008 CENTRAL CITY — Velma Elizabeth Roe, 98, of 5022 Kentucky 70 West, Central City, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Roe; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Caswell and Jason Caswell. Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Vincent of Central City; two grandchildren, Vickie Caswell and Donna Vincent, both of Bremen; a great-grandchild, Jamie Caswell of Bremen; several stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
