BEECHMONT-Thomas Hughes Mohon, 70, of Beechmont, died peacefully at his home on September 14, 2019 at 7:35 AM. Mr. Mohon was born February 14, 1949 in Muhlenberg County, he was a coal miner and of the Methodist faith, Mr. Mohon was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Wilma Mohon. He is survived by his wife Linda Littlefield Mohon who he was happily married to for 44 years, sons; Micah Thomas(Janae)Mohon of Hartford and Barry Neal Mohon of Beechmont, grandchildren; Kayla, Kristen and Emily, brothers; Freddy Neal(Deloris)Mohon of Beechmont and John Mark Mohon of Central City. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home in Beechmont with Keith Barnett officiating, Burial will be in Old Jackson Cemetery in Greenville. Tommy Hughes, that's what I have always called him. Not Tommy or Tom or Thomas. Don't remember how that got started but for me it stuck. He was my older cousin but kind of like an uncle to me. When I was young he picked at me and thumped my ears.
When I was older we worked together in Nashville and I laughed when he and Mark ate so many Krystal hamburgers that they stacked the boxes from floor to ceiling
I'll miss him.
