Please Pot as his Obituary! First may I correct Katie's Name. It is Katherine Alain Mekkelson/Day. (Katel ives in Laguna Beach, CA. Tom also had a stepdaughter. Jessika Brittin/Clingner of Denver Co. and 3 grandsons, Harrison, Chance and Cameron. Son of Carl. a WWII decorated war hero and Naval Commander that spent 4 1//2 years in Japanese prison camp and Mickie Mekkelson. Both deceased. Tom was well traveled and had impeccable manners. Spending time in Europe, Central & Southeast Asia and had a wonderful eye for beauty and fine craftsmanship. He enjoyed music and had exceptional taste and as my daughter Jessika just said," was the best F#@king driver ever and sure could play a game of pool!" Although he had his demons we knew the amazingly talented, kind and gentle soul that was Thomas Carl Mekkelson or as some of us knew him, Curry Turbot. PS...The Candle Thing is for the Other Side of the Family
