Thelma Nadine McKinney GREENVILLE — Thelma Nadine McKinney, 80, of Greenville died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Ohio County. She was a homemaker and member of Browder General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edward McKinney Jr.; children Gayla Hofmann and Edward Pee Wee McKinney; her parents, William and Mae Johnson; and a great-grandson, Bryce McKinney. Survivors include her children, Beverly (Ray) Cooper of Kuttawa, Phillip (Becky) McKinney of Eddyville, Don (Lydia) McKinney of Kuttawa, Patricia (Mike) Wright of Fuquay Barina, N.C., Luther (Carolyn) McKinney of Hopewell, Va., Carrie June (Roy) Caswell and Mary Kathy (Jamie) Johnson, all of Greenville, Brian (Debbie) McKinney of Seabrook, N.H., and Angela (Dean) Norris of Bloomfield, Ind.; a godchild, Forrest (Jeanine) Metcalf of Lynnville, Ind.; a brother, Billy Johnson of Louisville; three sisters, Wilma (Neil) Hutchings of Louisville, Alma Wright of Whiting, Ind., and Frances Harvey of Rosine; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Billie) McKinney of Kuttawa and Wendell (Jan) McKinney of Beechmont; a sister-in-law, Ellen McKinney of Chicago; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Tom Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Browder.
