Thelma Cox MADISONVILLE — Thelma Cox, 78, of Madisonville, formerly of Central City, died at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Belle Meade Nursing Home, Greenville. She was born Nov. 13, 1931, in Muhlenberg County, was a homemaker and member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Cox and her parents, John William and Flora Smith Young. Survivors include her son, Terry Keith (Valen) Cox of Pearland, Texas; daughters, Linda (David) Brumfield of Madisonville, Angi (Don) Messick of Alberta, Canada; grandchildren, Taylor Cox, Benton Cox, Gabby Cox, James Cox, John Cox, Shawn Brumfield, Dr. Dana Childs, Sarah Messick, Rachel Messick, Sam Messick, Tom Messick, James Messick and Tim Messick; great-grandchildren, Logan Childs, Jonah Childs, Grace Brumfield and Noah Brumfield; sisters, Gerry Fortney of Central City and Norma Doss of Evansville. Services are at 11 a.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial is in Mount Zion Cemetery, Central City.
