SOUTH CARROLLTON – Theda Jane Deason of South Carrolton passed away Saturday, August 1st, at the age of 70. She was born on July 23, 1950 to the late George & Mary Gladys Stevens of Belton, Ky. Born into a family of 9 siblings, Theda was the baby girl. She was a graduate of Hughes Kirk High School Class of 1968. At the age of 25, she married the love of her life Forest Dale . Together they built a life of happiness and adventure, traveling across all 50 states and Canada. She was employed in a husband and wife team serving Muhlenberg and surrounding counties for 38 years as Deason Custom Signs, Deason Rentals and Caribbean Pools. Theda was a member of Mt. Sion Assembly. She leaves behind the sweetest thing she ever loved, her husband of 46 years Forest Deason, his son Ricky (Linda) Deason, their daughter Misty Deason (Brad Stanley) and their son Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Deason of Central City, Ky; and her grandchildren: Justin (Jamie) Deason, Laura Beth Deason, Lane (Lindsey) Maddox, Karson Maddox, Kinley Deason, Spencer Thomas, and Payton Deason; her great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Kaelyn, Hank and Samuel; and siblings’: sisters Mayme Orange, Marilyn McElwain, Patsy Edwards, Nancy Latham, and brother Gary Stevens, plus many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. Theda Is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Shirley Stevens, brothers George (Sonny) Stevens and Newman Stevens. Theda, also known as Tater, never saw a thrift store or a sandy beach she did not like. She lived life to the fullest. She lit up the room and was loved by so many. She welcomed all into her home and always had you a seat at the table and a slice of pie. She loved to feel the wind in her hair on her weekly cruise with the Topless Cruisers. She loved her Lord, her Forest, her family and especially those grands and great grands. Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 12:00 noon at Allen’s Chapel Cemetery, with Bro. Kerry Vincent officiating. Burial to follow. There will be a drive through visitation beginning at 11:00AM at the cemetery. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
