DRAKESBORO – Terry Wendell Tucker, Sr., 73, of Drakesboro, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:18PM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Terry was born on December 8, 1952 in Greenville, KY to the late George and Lorene Smith Tucker. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his five brothers, Edward, Luther, Bobby, George, and Leon Tucker; and grandson, Ryan Johnson.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Vickie Duvall Tucker of almost 41 years; two daughters, Tara (Andrew) Johnson, and Samantha (Patrick) Hobgood; one son, “T.J.” Terry Wendell Tucker, Jr. (Alexus); six grandchildren, Collyn (Brittany) Johnson, Haleigh (Nathaniel) Schneider, Jackson Hobgood, Mason Hobgood, Harley Tucker, and Kinley Tucker; one great-granddaughter, Layla Johnson; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry was in the last Draft in 1972. He entered the Army in August of 1972 and was honorably discharged in August of 1978. He worked at PNL Railroad for many years before settling to be a surface coal miner until retirement. Terry enjoyed outdoors hunting and fishing every chance he got.

Memorial visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2026 from 10AM-12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
