Terry Edwin Doss, 66, of Central City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024. Born on July 3, 1958, he was the son of the late Eugene and Wanda Chaney Doss. Terry was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband, whose love for his family knew no bounds.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Randolph; his daughter, Terri Owens (Aaron); his son, Jonathon Doss (Angie); stepdaughter, Beth Palladino; and grandchildren Taylor and Addison Owens, and Sam and Elliot Doss; and his brothers, Artie and Jeremy Doss.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his stepdaughter, Missie Duvall.
Terry was a lifelong fisherman and one of the founding members of the Lake Malone Bass Club. He proudly earned the title of Angler of the Year multiple times. He was a devoted Kentucky Wildcats fan, supporting his team through every victory and defeat with unwavering loyalty.
A 1976 graduate of Central City High School, Terry was a man of many talents and careers. He was well known as “The Bunny Bread Man” during his time with Lewis Bakery, where he made lasting connections throughout the community. He also worked in life insurance, home construction, and proudly spent many years as a coal miner with the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA). His work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were unmatched.
Terry’s love for his family and his ability to make everyone around him feel special will be deeply missed. He was the most wonderful grandad to Taylor, Addison, Sam, and Elliot. He cherished every moment he spent with his grandkids, filling their lives with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, KY. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with services at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
