Thinking of You Sylvia and all of your family and friends over the years. Very glad to have crossed your path way back in 1961 and all the assorted memories since. One of my greatest memories was visiting you and Kay and your family in the summer of 1963. I cherish the memory of that summer very much. May you continue to rest in peace and be remembered by all who were in your life.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of "bean-bean". She always had such a beautiful smile, and a wonderful heart. She always spoke her mind, very refreshing in this world. She will be missed, I know, but when your heart gets heavy just think of all the lives she touched and how the world is a better place for having her here. Love and prayers to you all....Elaine.

Miss Bivins was my first science teacher in high school twenty years after she taught my mom Gladys Duncan . Her way of teaching help all of her students to learn easier and i enjoyed being in her class. L use to live just a block away from her in madisonville so i was able to go to her house to see her a few time before i graduated in 1988. She will truely be missed and always loved.

Tom, I was so sorry to hear of Sylvia's illness and passing. She was such a dear friend, and we had some great times working for the Hopkins County Board of Education and taking classes together. I remember the weekend class we took in Paducah---Dr. Lacy was our teacher---we had to spend the night since it was a Friday night and Saturday morning class. Naturally, we took time to shop-----as I recall she bought two mink coats at Hecht's---one for her and one for her Mother; I bought one. That would have been in 1991 or 1992. Charlie and I thought so much of both of you and enjoyed the times we got together for dinner, bridge or even wallpapering. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I was out of state last week when Linda Hibbs called me with the news; otherwise, I would have been at visitation. Prayers, Glenda Thornton Clay and Rachel Thornton and children Charlie(5) and Elizabeth(2)

Mary, W T and family; I am at a loss for words. Sylvia has been a very special friend to me since 1961 when we first met on our Senior Trips in Washington, DC. I was a very shy, young man from the country [Bath, NY], in a very big city. Our paths crossed at a combined social gathering at the hotel where our classes were staying. I have cherished and honored her friendship these 50+ years since! Sylvia, God Bless you, you surly are going to be missed by all as well as I. Rest in Peace, Your Friendship was very special! It was fantastic knowing you and we will miss you very, very much.
