CENTRAL CITY – Stoney Allen Rose, 68, of Central City, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at 4:15PM at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Mr. Rose was born May 12, 1958, in Muhlenberg County, and was raised in Graham. He called himself an outdoorsman. He loved fishing, camping, mudding, and being as far down in the “bottoms” as he could get. He always longed to catch the “Big One”. He loved his grandchildren, and was always happy to push them as high as he could on their swing set. Stoney will be remembered for his stubborn determination, his love for the outdoors, and the love he had for his family.
He is survived by his long-time friend and companion, Janetta Smith; step-children, Denisha (Andrew) Stanley, Renae (Casey) Drake, and Dustin (Macey) Smith; and grandchildren, Rylie, Lily, and Colton Smith, Kyler and Kaden Drake, Adaline Smith, and Ella Stanley.
