The Rev. Steve DeArmond Published: Saturday, April 11, 2009 12:14 AM CDT GREENVILLE — The Rev. Steve DeArmond, 60, of 3423 Bards Hill Road, Greenville, died at 2:06 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born Dec. 19, 1948, in Muhlenberg County. He was a minister, also worked for Goodyear for 23 years and was a member of Bards Hill General Baptist Church in Depoy. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Lear DeArmond of Greenville; a son, Jonathan (Danyele) DeArmond of Greenville; a daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Gordon of Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Paige DeArmond, Slaton DeArmond and Kimberly Gordon; two step grandchildren, Hayes Arona and Lexi Arona; and two brothers, Tim (Sharon) DeArmond of DeMotte, Ind., and David (Angie) DeArmond of Greenville. Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Lynn Bard officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ricky Peterson. Burial will be in East Union Cemetery in Graham. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
