Sidney and I had a lot of fun both in high school and college. He was a wonderful person and gave often of himself. I am truly saddened that he is gone but I know that he is in a much better place with no suffering. Our high school Class of 1981 will always have him in our thoughts and prayers.

Sidney was such a wonderful Christian man, husband, father, teacher, and friend. He was a wonderful educator. He touched the lives of so many young people in his young life. His Christian influence on those around him was an outstanding testimony of his life. May God give you the grace to continue your lives, the strength to endure the days ahead, and the comfort that only He can give. May you know others are remembering you and your family during this time.

Teachers impact our lives more than they know...as we are all touched, in some small way, by the educators with whom we spend at least 6 hours a day. Mr. May led our 8th grade class through our last year together at Lake Malone and through the difficult transition of Middle School. Many thanks to him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I cant remember a time when Sid wasn't happy, laughing and smiling. And it affected eveyone around him. He was a good man with a big heart, and he touched many people in such a positive way. Sid will be greatly missed. I will not say good-bye, I will say so long.....until we meet again in the next life my friend.

I remember Sid always having a smile on his face it was a smile that lit up a room, when walking the halls of MVHS he spoke to and greeted all of his friends. He was a kind soul that was friendly to everyone he met. He truly was a gentle person and will be missed by many. I pray that GOD Almighty wraps his family and friends in his loving embrace and comforts them all in their time of sorrow, may your memories keep you warm and loved. Heaven truly received an "angel", R.I.P. Sidney Young May.

Blessed are those who weep for they shall be comforted. Sid was one of my best friends through Jr. High and High School, he will definitely be missed. We all know that there is a time and season for all of us. We are like a vapor, carried away by the wind. I have so many memories of a great man that will forever stick in the reserviors of my memories. Sid was a great person, enthusiastic, grateful, kind and respectable; the way a Christian should be. God saw him getting tired down here, he was one of God's special creation. He saw Sid getting tired and needing special tender care, so he softly told Sid, my son it's time to go, you need my special care, so He gently picked him up and carried him home to be with Him. Gone but not forgotten forever etched in our hearts. Father all I ask is this. Father in Your precious keeping, leave we now this humble servant of Yours Sleeping. Rest on Brother Sid, Resp On. We see you in the sweet bye and bye.

I'll never forget the time Sid and I went on a road trip to Little Rock, Arkansas to see the Razorback's play football. He was a Arkansas fan and was so excited to get to see them play. We had such a good time at the game, as was evident from our voices being hoarse from yelling, whoooo pig soooie, about a 100 times. Sid was a great friend and a wonderful person. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Kelli and Family, I attended school with Sid In Mt. Vernon, In as a part of the class of 1981. Unfortunately we left during our junior year, so I didn't know Sid very long. However, I remember him as a gentle soul, even then. While it has been 30+ years since I've seen him, I remember him fondly and as a wonderful, all around great guy. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I pray that your happy memories will soon overcome your grief. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God be with each and every one of you.
