SACRAMENTO — Sherman R. Lynn, born Nov. 13, 1924, to Vonnie Cecil Lynn and Una Gertrude (Eden) Lynn, left this world of pain Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010. Sherman owned Sherman Lynn’s Body Shop in Sacramento for many years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved being with his family, camping, fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother V.C. “Bus” Lynn. He is survived by his loving wife, Vanita Lynn; daughters Shirley Bobo and her husband, Harmon, Brenda Bell and her husband, David, and Vanessa Davis and her husband, Kenneth; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Harper; and a brother, Harry Foster. Services are at 11 a.m. today at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Burial is in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Sacramento. Visitation is after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Vanessa Davis Fund in care of Independence Bank to help in the fight against cancer.
