BREMEN – Sherman “Gene” Adcock, 70, of Bremen, Ky, born June 6, 1954 in Muhlenberg County, Ky, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Due to sickness, he retired from his passion – logging. He could talk about logging for as long as someone listened. After retiring, he lived with his sister, Ruby Pierce, and husband, Bobby. Due to his declining health, he lived at Greenville Nursing and Rehab. During his lifetime, he owned 3 different Pomeranian dogs which he loved. He named them each Austin 1, 2, and 3. He went by his middle name Gene. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman D. Adcock; mother, Hallie Mae Adcock; sisters, Kathleen Meador, and Lula Jackson; his twin sister, Hallie Jane Jewell; and his brother, Bobby Adcock.
He is survived by his brother, Larry Adcock; sister, Ruby Pierce, and brother-in-law, Bobby Pierce; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; Greenville Nursing and Rehab. Home friends; and Dialysis friends.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Robert Pierce officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM -1PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
