SACRAMENTO – Shelby Clayton West, 98, of Sacramento, died August 9, 2026 at 6:53PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Mr. West was born in McLean County on March 2, 1928. He was a Farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda “Sue” West; parents, Shelby and Hazel West; brothers, Felix M. West, Leslie West, and Marion West.

He is survived by his nephews, Marshall West, Roger West, and Jeff West (Cheri); nieces, Linda Carroll Kirkland (Larry), Connie Sue Ebers (Dan), Cheryl Rutledge, and Karen Call (Jim); and special friend, Bennie Woodburn (Teresa).

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 12PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Dr. Mike Rust officiating. Burial in Gish Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
