Sandra Louise Dobbs

CENTRAL CITY – Sandra Louise Dobbs, 78, of Central City, died Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 8:20AM at The Heartford House in Owensboro.  Mrs. Dobbs was born February 11, 1948, in Dawson Springs, KY.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Central City.  She was a LPN, working at Muhlenberg Community Hospital and Western State Hospital.  Her passion was nursing, and she took time to always take care of everyone.  She loved to travel and be with her family.  Her family was her life, and she enjoyed being able to do everything together with her family.  She was not only mom – her greatest gift was being a memie to her grandchildren and a rock to her family.

Mrs. Dobbs was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Vivian Wilson; husband, Jerry Dan Dobbs; beloved dogs, Tinker, Ryan, and Sam; beloved best friend, Elizabeth Hewgley; and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Dobbs-Peltier; grandchildren, Matthew Alexander Peltier and Cassandra Elizabeth Peltier (Hunter Dewayne Stanhope); bonus family, Brooklynn Stanhope, Haley Magan, and Tiffany Magan; dog, Cooper Dobbs; beloved best friend, Tooter Howton; and close friend, Lana Hoskins.
