CENTRAL CITY – Samuel Jefferson Warren, 85, of Central City, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 1:45AM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Warren was born December 7, 1931, in Hopkins County. He was a debarker, and a member of First Baptist Church in Central City. He was passionate about his golfing and UK Wildcat basketball. He is survived by his wife, Freda Warren; daughter Vicki Hyde of Central City; grandchildren Jesse Gaunt and Sierra Tollison; great-grandson Brian Jernagan; and sisters Helen Clayton of Central City and Anne Nelson of Crestwood. I will always remember the smile that Sam would greet me with every time I saw him! He would say, "whatta ya say DUDE! Such a fine man! We all will miss him so much. I was thinking, Sam was eighty five and would sometimes shoot our age, 72, 73 74. Us guys at our age of 72, 73 or 74 would some times shoot his age of 85! He love his friends and the game of golf. RIP my friend.
