I remember ruby for being so sweet and kind to everyone. She was also good friends with my momma, Mary Ford, and they both worked at Winnies Grill in the 70s/80s. Mommas gone now. I hope you two have found each other. Time to rest in peace.

Ruby, the last time I saw you was at Wal-mart in Central City, we talked for a long time, you were telling me about your illness and the pain you were in, we talked about old times, you gave me a very sweet compliment, we talked about our children & our grandchildren, I gave you my phone number, we embraced and told each other...I love you. I was shocked to find out that you had been called home, I did not know until several weeks later. I know your family was in deep grief and sorrow. Ruby, you were so beautiful, your entire life, I have such wonderful memories of our childhood friendship, a friendship that I will cherish forever. I will miss you Ruby and those beautiful baby blue eyes, the funny things you would say and do, the many sleepovers we had, both in Ky and Ind. the giggles and secrets, between 3 crazy girls. I remember looking so forward to seeing that big ole station wagon come rolling into Gishton on weekends when you all came to visit your grandparents, and all you kids just rolling out of it. Lol I know you are in Heaven, with Jesus and I know that I will see you again someday my sweet friend. somehow, that last time I saw you, I knew in my heart it might be our last and I think you sensed it too, just because I remember our eye to eye contact, our embrace, and our final words to each other "I Love You" :-)
