CENTRAL CITY – Roy William Jones, 73, of Central City, died Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 12:55PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Jones was born June 22, 1948, in Muhlenberg County. He was of the Christian faith. Roy was a very accomplished bowler and won numerous tournaments throughout the years. He loved to dance with anyone that would dance with him. He was a big Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Jones; and sister, Betty Stogner.
He is survived by his special friend, Geneva Cornette; sister, Carolyn Dukes of Drakesboro; caregiver and nephew, James “J.J.” (Tabby) Stogner of Central City; and several other nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Corley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 1:00PM at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thank you to Ricky and Linda Deason and Wendell Flener for helping out over the years and for being such good neighbors.
