GREENVILLE – Roy Donald “Donnie” Key, 63, of Greenville went home to be with his Lord on April 20, 2012. Donnie was born on February 1, 1949, Roy Wesley and Mary Lou Tabb Key of Nelson Creek. Donnie loved sports and was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan. He played high school basketball at Muhlenberg Central and Drakesboro High Schools. He was known for his softball feats. Donnie was of the Baptist faith and attended Central City United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter , Tisha Renee’ Kirk, his daddy, Wes Key, his twin brothers, Ronald and Wesley, his paternal grandparents, Roy and Loretta Key, and his maternal grandparents, Will and Ethel Tabb. Survivors include, his wife, Saundra Key, his mother, Mary Lou Key, his daughter, Donella (Donald)Wells, Son in law, Patrick Kirk, grandson, Tyler Key, Granddaughters, Natasha Key, Megan Kirk, Tiffany Key, great grandsons, Hunter Knight and Bryson Key-Butcher, great granddaughter, Taylor Knight, two aunts, Katherine Tabb and Rose Wilson and many beloved cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 23, 2012 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, conducted by Rev. Scott Casebier and Dr. Kevin Brown with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be held after 5:00 PM on Sunday and after 8:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
