BREMEN – Roy Allen Timmons, 90, of Bremen, died Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:47AM at his residence. He was born February 7, 1934 in Bremen. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, worked as an Aircraft Technical Instrument Specialist for the Air Force, as well as GE and TVA, and retired from the US Air Force after 20 years. He enjoyed trading vehicles, gardening, taking trips in his RV, boating, watching birds and pigeons, and talking – he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his son, DeWayne Timmons; father, L.B. Timmons; mother, Annie Whitmer Timmons; and 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Timmons; three daughters, Debra (Tim) Arnold, Donna Timmons, and Rebecca Lair; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Newman; sister-in-law, Pearline Timmons; and first wife/family friend, June Young.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 1PM at Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen with Lynn Bullock officiating. Burial to follow. Visitation will be 12:30-1PM on Thursday at the cemetery.
