Ronnie Lynn “Pops” Wells

POWDERLY- Ronnie Lynn “Pops” Wells, 62, of Powderly, Kentucky, died at 3:41 PM, Friday, February 10, 2017 at One Health in Owensboro, KY. He was born December 14, 1954 in Muhlenberg County to the late Vernon and Margaret Dexter Wells. He was retired from One Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital, where he loved his work and his co-workers. He loved his family, his ’59 Chevy truck, and the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a member of Powderly Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Leighann Wells, father-in-law, Norman “Blinky” Whitaker, brothers-in-law, Ernie McIntosh, Robert (Butch) Tucker, and Bobby Walker. He is survived by his wife, Becky Whitaker Wells, daughter, Lindsey (Roger) Ewing, step-grandson, Adian Ewing; two brothers, David “Butch” (Joan) Wells and Tim (Sherry) Wells of Powderly; seven sisters, Shirley Walker, JoAnn Wells, Sandra McIntosh, Debbie (Ronnie) McIntosh, Pam (Marshall) Jarvis, all of powderly, Donna Tucker of Versailles, and Beverly (Ritchie) Adcock of Central City, and several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Reverend George Besch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

Becky and Lindsey, So sorry for your loss. I am sure it is going to hard in the days to come. Just want you to know we thought a lot of Ronnie. He was a very nice man. You all will be in our thought and prayers.

I helped take care of Ronnie when he came to see Dr. Reader. He was always a hoot to be around. I thought so much of Ronnie, his wife, and daughter. He was one of my favorite patients. I'm really going to miss him. I'm so sorry for your loss.
