I was saddened to hear about Ronnie's passing. Cancer is a tough pill to swallow, and so is the treatment; for both the patient and the family. I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2010. Good doctors and the Good Lord are giving me another chance. Sometimes I think I was spared so I could join the people who are praying for new victims of ravaging disease, because it seems like every time I turn around, I hear about another friend or family member getting it. I started praying for Ron as soon as Bob (Juergens) told me about him, and I'm still praying for his family. I saw Ron at the last Tech reunion I went to. He looked good then, and that's the way I will remember him.
Please accept my condolences and prayers.

My sincerest condolences in the death of your loved one. I know we are related ... Ronnie and my father could have been nearly twin brothers. My father's, Robert Edward Vincent (1926-1991) father was born and raised in Muhlenberg County, KY. He came to WV early in life and settled in the coal fields. He spoke so fondly of relatives in Muhlenberg ... I went with him to visit them when I was a teen and wish I had known the family history then as I do now. I have worked on my family genealogy over 40 years. Anyone in the Vincent family wishing to contact me may do so. Many kind memories of your loved one left on this page and may they be a comfort to you.

Ron was a great coworker. One of the nicest and most decent persons I know.
My son A.J. meet Ron one time and while they were talking A.J. asked Ron if he
had been in the Military Service. Ron told him he had been in the Marines; that was all Ron said. A.J. asked Ron if he had seen any action. Again Ron kept it simple and said ...he had seen some. My son asked what happened and Ron told A.J. that he was wounded while in a helicopter. Ron was a quiet person but said a lot with few words. Ron will be missed by all that knew him.

To his wife and children, brothers and sister I send my sympathy for your loss.

I was most fortunate to work with Ronnie for several years before retiring in 2009. Ron was always a very sweet person and worked hard to keep our machines running. He was somewhat quiet but very friendly and enjoyed his work. I never heard him say anything bad about anybody. I think everyone loved him and enjoyed working with him. Prayers going out to his family.
