Rondle L. Skimehorn CENTRAL CITY — Rondle L. Skimehorn, 81, of Central City died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Moorman, was a member of First Baptist Church in Central City, was a retired coal miner from Gibraltar Coal Co. and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Lillie Skimehorn. Survivors include his wife, Betty Slaughter Skimehorn of Central City; a son, Roger Skimehorn of Madisonville; a daughter, Darlene Gossett of Central City; a granddaughter, Ronda Brooks of Central City; a grandson, Ryan Skimehorn of Madisonville; a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Brooks of Central City; a great-grandson, Jacob Brooks of Central City; and special friends Mark Short and Durward Thomas. Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, officiated by the Rev. Bob Lowery and assisted by the Rev. Carson Bevil. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
