BREMEN – Robert Roll Sharp, Jr., 68, of Bremen, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 8:31AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Sharp was born July 9, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired security and transportation officer at Muhlenberg County Job Corps, and a member of First Baptist Church in Central City. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved his country, old vintage cars, and working in the yard. His dog, Fionna, made him smile. He loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Amy Sharp; sisters Lynn Jones and Lois Sharp; sister-in-law, Brenda Sharp; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Hobbs. He is survived by his wife, Jan Hackney Sharp; daughter Courtney (Jason) Cornett; son Josh (Bethany) Jones; grandchildren Kelsey, Holden, and Carter Cornett, and Elijah, Josephine, and Molly Jones; sisters Vicki Hobbs and Ramona (Darrel) Hill; brother James Sharp; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Bill Bryant officiating, assisted by J.T. Sharp. Burial in Union Chapel Cemetery.
