Rev Mize was a sweet caring man. He had a jail ministry. Hed come faithfully to the Muhlenberg County Jail every weekend to minister to us inmates. I finally gave my life to the LORD on March 22 1988 right there in jail! I wanted what Bro Mize had...and i got it! We will meet again some glorious day! God blees his family and friends...

Bro Mize was my Sunday School teacher at Cedar Grove and a great and respected man. He preached for us a lot and always told it like it is. I really enjoyed talking with him and we had several good talks and enjoyed each others company. Even though he retired from pastoring, he never retired from preaching God's word. He stayed actively preaching well up into the nineties in age as a lot of people know. He was in demand. We loved him and hated to hear of his death but he is now reunited with Mrs. Mize, other relatives and friends and can spend eternity talking with people which he really love doing. Our prayers are with his family and I know he will be missed but you will see him again some day.

So sorry for your loss. I so enjoyed getting to know Mr. Mize while he was at Diversicare. We would have the best time when he was in physical therapy. He always had a big smile on his face and he loved to joke and laugh with all of the rehab staff. I will sure miss seeing him sitting in front of the window in his room reading his Bible, and all the big goodbye waves he would give me from his window as I left work for the day. Prayers for strength and comfort for all his family.
