Robert Ray Mitchell BELTON — Robert Ray Mitchell, 80, 980 State Route 2270 East, Belton, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Muhlenberg County on Nov. 5, 1928. He was a carpenter and a member of Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church, Beech Creek. He is survived by his wife, Dona A. Mitchell of Belton; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee and Teresa Mitchell of Belton; grandchildren, Kevin Scott Mitchell and Laura Elizabeth Mitchell; several nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church. Burial will be in Old Jackson Cemetery, Beech Creek. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. BELTON – Robert Lee Mitchell, 59, of Belton, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 3:05PM at his home. Mr. Mitchell was born July 31, 1957, in Muhlenberg County. He was a truck driver for Precision Strip, and a member of Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ford Mitchell; son Kevin Mitchell of Belton; and daughter Laura Mitchell of Belton. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 11:00AM at Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church, with Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Burial in Old Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Mr. Mitchell will lie in state on Saturday after 9:00AM at the church.
