CENTRAL CITY – Robert Lee Armstrong, 86, of Central City, went to be with his Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 1:23AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Armstrong was born July 31, 1929, in Muhlenberg County. He was co-owner of A & G Egg Farm and a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed working and all the challenges that came with his occupation. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Clara Armstrong; and brother William Armstrong. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Armstrong; sons Robert (Linda) Armstrong, Jr., of Central City, Joseph “Joey” (Becky) Armstrong of Central City, and James Armstrong of Bremen; sister Betty Jo Armstrong of Owensboro; grandchildren Jennifer S. Armstrong, Jamie M. Armstrong, Laura C. Armstrong, Brian Armstrong, and Jeannie (Dewayne) Littlefield; and great-grandchildren Dakota Lee Rhoades, Thomas James Ross, Aidyn Cash Armstrong, Betty Blue Bucciarelli, Aiyana Goodfriend, Talon Gregory, and Camden Littlefield. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
