Of all of the great memories of my papaw, his love for God and your family stood out to whoever knew him. I spent countless nights in my grandparents home growing up. I can still remember messages he preached at least 20 years ago: “Knowing Too Much To Be Lost”, “Going Down Our Own Damascus Road”, “Just A Taste”, plus many more. One memory that I have of my papaw preaching is that the altar was usually full after he would preach such a convicting message. I’ll be forever grateful for my heritage. I never hung my head when it come to this couple being my grandparents. They were examples of true Christians. One thing I remember the most about my grandparents as a couple was them being such prayer warriors. I just hope that I could have a fraction of the walk with God that they had. Until we meet again. I miss y’all.

Papaw I love you and miss you! I’m so glad I got to spend the last couple days with you. You were the best. I watched you take your last breath. As hard as it was, I know you’re not suffering anymore and that’s such a relief! I’m thankful for the heritage I have. Love you lots
