GREENVILLE – At 12:15AM on July 19, 2018, Renea Carol Tipton, 49, left this earth to become a member of heaven’s choir. Born February 8, 1969, to J.C. and Leota Tipton, she was a bright light in a dark world. Renea never met a stranger and loved everyone. In addition to her love for her family and church, she loved the Oak Ridge Boys, U.K. basketball, pigs, and lighthouses. Her proudest moments were joining Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church, graduating Greenville High School, singing specials in church, being a bridesmaid in her sister’s wedding, and holding her niece Hannah for the first time. Her favorite songs to sing were “One Day at a Time”, “It is No Secret”, and “It’s My Desire”, each of which could have been her life’s anthem. She did “love her Jesus so”. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.Q. and Carlean Tipton and Arthur and Pauline Joines. She is survived by her parents, J.C. and Leota Tipton; sister and brother-in-law Dana and Joe Everett; niece Hannah Renea Everett; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her church family. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 22, 2018, at 2:00PM at Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church, with Bro. Roger Wright officiating, assisted by Bro. John Galyen. Burial in Old Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Ms. Tipton will lie in state on Sunday from 10:00AM until 2:00PM at Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church.
