POWDERLY – Randall Wade Adams, 62, of Powderly, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky, surrounded by family. He was born June 19, 1963, to Richard and Zelmodene Adams. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Covenant of Grace Community Church in Greenville, Kentucky. Randy always had a deep connection with the outdoors. An avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, he cherished time spent in the woods or on the lake with friends and family. Randy was the originator of the annual “Take a Kid Fishing” event at Luzerne Lake, and was known as “Big Country” or “Big A” by all those that loved him. A proud University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, he rarely missed a game and could be found cheering on the Cats with his trademark enthusiasm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Zelmodene Adams; and his brothers, Michael Spears, Steven Spears, and David Adams.
He is survived by his former wife, Lydia Adams of Greenville, KY; their children, Emily (Brandon) Harvey of Greenville, KY and Lucas (Olivia) Adams of Greenville, KY; son, Justin (Desirae) Epley of Beaverton, Oregon; sisters, Melody Gary of Louisville, KY and Marilyn (Todd) Peveler of Powderly, KY; brothers, Daniel (Doris) Adams of Greenville, KY and Eddie (Carolyn) Adams of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Rylan Harvey, Taytum Harvey, Eden Adams, Jack Adams, and baby Adams due in May; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Bro. Shane Garrett.
