GREENVILLE – Phyllis Delano Allen, 87, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 3:24AM under the care of Hospice of Western KY in Owensboro. Ms. Allen was born March 13, 1937 in Dawson Springs. She was a member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church and retired from working at the Convention Center Inn. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great-grandbabies. All her grandchildren would have moved in with her if their parents would have allowed it. She was a passionate UK Basketball fan. She enjoyed fishing at Lake Malone and passed along fishing tips to the now “well-accomplished” fishermen in her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Allen; parents, Herbert Kittinger, Sr. and Erma Kittinger; brothers, Herbert Kittinger, Jr., Robert Kittinger, and William “Bill” Kittinger.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip Davis of Greenville, Ricky (Alice) Davis of Central City, Michael (Christina) Davis of The Villages, FL, and Marvin (Crystal) Davis of Russellville; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Emilee (Brandon) Casey, Stephanie Davis, Kim Davis, and Shanna Davis; sister, Lana Seawright; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10AM-12PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
